How to do A/B Testing on Your eBay Listings!

7:54 pm in Tutorials by Jason

By setting up and tracking A/B Testing with Sellebrity, it is very easy to determine how effectively your various template designs and/or keywords are driving your visitors to make purchases.

In A/B testing, you unleash two different versions of a keyword, advertisement, website, web/landing page, banner design or variable and see which performs the best. You test version A vs. version B to see how different versions perform.

It is generally accepted that the best format for selling is to put the image on the left and the title and description on the right. But .. what else can be done? Let’s find out.

Tutorial: Should I Sell Internationally?

2:10 pm in Tutorials by Jason

They say a picture is worth 1000 words.  But here is a picture that is worth 1000 bids.

Pick a new country to sell in. This is a short article on why to start selling Internationally, now how.  Let your data decide.  I have suggested to many people that they start selling Internationally, to UK and Australia (Canada doesn’t count), and after that, who knows?  One user in particular had a lot of traffic from Australia because of the nature of her product line I guessed, so I said she should look into that.   She just responded, she “didn’t like to sell Internationally” because of the “hassle” involved.  Let’s prove her wrong, shall we?

For a 25% increase in business she could probably overcome any problems she encountered.  Well, now I can change her mind; below is a screen snapshot from the traffic of this person’s auction items.  You can tell from the shade of blue that her listings are no stranger to AU.

In your own Sellebrity Analytics account, click the LOCALE tab:

You can zero in on particular countries

Medium blue areas like UK and AU are significant for sales.

One day, you are checking out World Spy (which shows you a live view of visitors to your website or eBay listings).  You see that one of your regular buyers, Haris Pilton, keeps popping up. (Her name is there because she bought from you on a previous occasion, and you either entered her name manually, or her checkout action put it there automatically.  (More on that in a future article.)

A previous customer, Haris Pilton, pops in for a visit.

A previous customer, Haris Pilton, pops in for a visit.

Let’s SPY on Ms. Pilton some more.  So we click on her, and we are taken to the following page.
