Tutorial: Block Yourself from All Statistics

Most people will want to exclude themselves from their own statistics. Here’s how to block yourself, all your computers, and all your co-workers.

You have 2 ways to block yourself.

Just start at Home -> Site Preferences -> IP tags & filters

  1. “Click here to set this cookie” and repeat for every computer you own.
  2. Click “Add new IP address.” See snapshot below. You can NAME the person and optionally BLOCK them from stats as well.

That way, if your IP changes (e.g. 151.244.232.12) the cookie will still make sure you are ignored.  If your IP address changes, you still have the fallback that the cookie also stops you from being tracked.  So make sure to set the cookie on every computer that you use, and also set it each time you clear ALL of your cookies.
